Steelmaster dry operation Machine
- Very low maintenance
- Aggressive operation
- Low operating costs
- suitable for Grinding and Deburring
The heavy duty SMD dry operating line of Steelmaster machines has many similar features as its wet counterparts. Every Steelmaster has a 10” touch screen that enables the user to set up the machine in a matter of seconds.
The Steelmaster SMD line comes in three working widths:
- 1100 mm / 43” (SMD1 series)
- 1350 mm / 53” (SMD5 series)
- 1650 mm/ 65” (SMD7 series)
Low maintenance
Other than cleaning, there is not a lot that needs to be done to keep a Steelmaster running. The only items in the machine that actually wear are the abrasive tools as they are the only parts that come into contact with the parts that need to be processed. For very thin parts the conveyor belt may be a wear item.
Aggressive operation
The advantage of a dry machine over a wet machine is that it is more aggressive. When working on thicker parts it is ideal in removing very large burrs or slag. A special application in dry deburring is slag grinding*.
* Slag grinding is also possible on a wet machine.

Low operating costs
In many cases, working with a Steelmaster is a one- man operation. The Steelmaster finishing and deburring machines can also be hooked up to an automated production line where they can be operated from a central-controlled panel.
